The Health for Haiti 2016 class is getting ready for Haiti!

Our 2016 Health for Haiti class is working hard to make preparations and raise money for our upcoming trip.  In only a few short weeks we will be on our way to Haiti! We are so grateful for everyone who has supported all of our fundraisers.  Thanks for bowling and going to Sweet Frog and dropping off your cans and bottles! Thanks to the amazing SUNY Broome Garden Club for the wreath and poinsettia sale and thanks to all of you who have donated money and over the counter medical supplies.  We have so many exciting plans for this year, and none of our projects would be possible without your kindness and generosity!

Now for some quick updates from Haiti:

The Bridge to Haiti computer schools are doing well in Cite Soleil and Grande Saline.  We look forward to bringing more equipment and new lessons for the computer students. We have new face to face nutrition, hand washing and bathroom hygiene education lessons and even plan to do a bit of construction in Grande Saline!

The water system is as busy as ever and the 2016 class will make some updates and provide some additional training for our awesome operators.

And the community garden!  It is looking fantastic. Check back to the earlier posts to see all of the changes in the garden. The corn, beans and melons are all growing. We even have a few “miracle” moringa trees coming up!

We look forward to providing many updates from our upcoming trip.  Thank you again for all of your support!
