Happy New Year from Health for Haiti!
We are busy making final preparations to take our 2017 Health for Haiti class to Haiti and we are looking forward to being able to continue serving our neighbors in Haiti with medical clinics, dental services, educational opportunities, food and agriculture programs, clean water and solar initiatives, art and music experiences, and much more. We are so grateful for all of the support that we have received. Your support makes these ongoing projects possible!
We have some end of the year updates to share from Grande Saline. After a successful rice harvest, we are once again preparing to plant corn and beans in the community garden. We have leased a new piece of land and have three new local farmers who will work with us in the coming year. They are busy clearing the new section of land so that the beans and corn can be planted. We are looking forward to visiting the new garden when we are in Haiti.
The computer literacy program in Grande Saline is also progressing well. Thanks to our new computer instructor for his dedication and super work, and congratulations to the children who just completed their first computer literacy exam!
We are excited to visit Haiti again soon and our 2017 students and staff are ready to work hard and accomplish as much as we can while we are there. Please check back for updates from Haiti. Thanks again for all of your support in the past year and we are looking forward to an exciting 2017!
