Greetings from Health for Haiti!
After a brief pause to do some careful thinking about how to best help to combat the growing food insecurity experienced by our friends in Grande Saline, we are excited to announce that we are back with a new and expanded garden project. The expansion involves doubling the size of our rented land, purchasing a new pump to use together with the old pump so we can irrigate more land, and increasing the number of experienced farmers who are partnering with us.

Below you can see the farmers planting green peppers on one section of our land. On this day we received a message saying that the farmers are very happy to be resuming the activities that they enjoy and are good at. One farmer stated, “It is a pleasure to work on this wonderful project.”

This expansion is seen as a way to support the school by providing the students good and healthy foods and at the same time allowing them to experience learning about agriculture and the finances of food production.

Thank you for supporting Health for Haiti’s efforts to assist with access to safe drinking water, nutrition, and quality education in rural Haiti. We are grateful for your support, it is making a positive difference.
