Health for Haiti needs your help!

Dear Health for Haiti Family,

Health for Haiti is partnering with the community of Grande Saline to build a classroom for the local children.  The classroom, the first for this community, will serve as a dedicated space for education. In addition to traditional classes, this building will also be the home of the Don Bosco Ecole Informatique computer classes. Dr. Robinson estimates that about 120 children will use the classroom. As you can see, construction is progressing rapidly. We are on target for classes to begin here this fall.

However, we need your help.

To celebrate the opening of the classroom, we would like to provide each child with a pen, pencil and notebook.  It will cost about $4 per student to purchase these school supplies in Haiti.  Please consider sponsoring one of the students in Grande Saline by donating a few dollars for his or her school supplies.

You can donate online or via the mail.

Tax deductible contributions can be made out to “SUNY Broome Health for Haiti” and mailed to:

If possible, please share this information with your family and friends.  If enough people can give the gift of $4, each child will be able to come to their first day of school with their very own school supplies.

Thank you for your support and we look forward to giving you additional updates on the progress of the new school in Grande Saline.
